The Sun Chronicle
Oreste P. 'Rusty' D'Arconte is publisher of The Sun Chronicle, a seven-day, award-winning community newspaper, and four weekly newspapers: The Foxboro Reporter, The Silver City Bulletin in Taunton, The Slater Trader in Pawtucket and The ADvisor, which is mailed to 30,000 residences in the Attleboro area. The Sun Chronicle operation also includes thesunchronicle.com Web site and a contract printing business. The publications reach more than 75,000 homes in the area and the Web site had more than 3 million visitors in 2006. D'Arconte lives in Attleboro and, in addition to the Chamber of Commerce, is active in the United Way of Greater Attleboro-Taunton, Downtown Attleboro Associates and Friends of Attleboro Interested in Revitalization (FAIR). He also is an officer or director of the New England Press Association, New England Newspaper Association and the Massachusetts Newspaper Publishers Association.
